Krickente | Die Krickente (Anas crecca) ist mit 34–43 cm die kleinste einheimische Schwimmente Europas. Sie ist an flachen Binnengewässern mit dichter Vegetation (Moore, Seen, Sümpfe) heimisch. Erpel sind im Prachtkleid durch kastanienbraune Köpfe mit grünen Augenstreifen erkennbar. Sie sind wendige Flieger, ernähren sich gründelnd von Sämereien und Wirbellosen und treten in Deutschland oft als Durchzügler und Wintergäste auf. Erpel: Kopf kastanienbraun mit breitem, grünem, gelb eingefasstem Augenstreif. Körper grau, heller Steißfleck, weißer Flügelstreif.Weibchen: Unauffällig braun gefleckt, ähnelt einer kleinen Stockente, aber mit grünem Flügelspiegel.Verhalten: Sehr wendig und schnell im Flug. Oft in kleinen Trupps.Stimme: Erpel rufen hell „krrik“, Weibchen schnattern Lebensraum und Verbreitung: Flache stehende Binnengewässer mit viel Deckung am Ufer, Moorseen, Feuchtwiesen, Teiche. Ganz Mitteleuropa; in Deutschland als Brutvogel (selten) sowie häufiger Durchzügler und Wintergast (aus Nord-/Osteuropa). - Realized with Pictrs.com
